New Delhi, April.12 : Police have arrested a Delhi-based businessman in connection with the murder of his wife. She was murdered and her body was thrown into a drain. But the nose ring she was wearing gave an important clue in this murder case. This has helped the police in unraveling the mysterious murder case.
Yes, a woman's body was found in a drain in Delhi about a month ago. But the nose ring she was wearing has given an important clue to the police investigating the death as to how this death occurred. Businessman Anil Kumar, who had been living with the woman for 20 years, has been arrested in connection with the case and the police suspect that he killed her and threw her body into the drain.
On March 15, a woman's body was found wrapped in a bedsheet and tied to a bag of stones and cement in a drain in Delhi. The police identified the woman through the nose ring. This also helped them unravel the mystery of the murder.
The police took the woman's nose ring to a jewellery shop in South Delhi. When they checked the documents there, they found that the ring was bought by Delhi-based property dealer Anil Kumar, who lived in a garden house in Gurugram. The bill for the purchase of the ring was issued in the name of the businessman at this jewellery shop. The deceased woman has been identified as 47-year-old Seema Singh.
After this, when the police contacted the accused Kumar, it was found that the deceased woman was Seema Singh's wife. When the police officers asked her to talk to her wife, she said that her wife had gone to Vrindavan without her phone. This gave rise to serious suspicion from the police.
Later, the police went to Anil Kumar's office in Dwarka, where they found her mother-in-law's phone number in his diary. When Seema's family was contacted through that number, Seema Singh's sister Babita said that Seema had not spoken to them on the phone since March 11. Therefore, the family there was also worried about her daughter. But they did not file a complaint.
Meanwhile, Babita informed the police that when she called Anil to say that her sister was not available on her phone, he told her that Seema was in Jaipur and she was not in the mood to talk. Babita also said that he had promised to call her when Seema recovered. This continued for several days. Thus, although Seema's family tried to approach the police, Anil's promise dissuaded them from going to the police.
After this, on April 1, when the police called Seema's family to identify the body of a woman, they came to know that it was hers. A day later, Seema's eldest son also identified the body as his mother. Citing the post-mortem report, the family said that Seema Singh had been strangled to death. The police have now arrested Seema's husband Anil and a guard named Shivshankar in connection with the case.
