Covid 19 cases has increased to 1,733 with the reporting of 72 fresh cases in Udupi district.
Out of 72 cases , 16 are from Udupi ,41 are from Kundapura and 15 are from Karkala . 51 men , 19 women and 2 children among the infected.
A total of 370 are undergoing treatment . 1360 people recovered and discharged from hospital .
The swab reports of 1080 are awaited and 115 samples are sent for testing on Tuesday.
Dakshina Kannada is recording with 91 fresh cases, the tally has risen to 2452.
Deputy commissioner of DK Sindhu Roopesh said 1,414 people are infected and undergoing the treatment at various hospitals in the district . 47 are recovered and discharges on Tuesday, the total number of discharged patient has risen to 985.
Above the 91 cases, 20 are the primary contacts are already infected .29 were suffering from Influenza like illness and five suffering from symptoms of severe acute respiratory infection and been tested positive.
One among them with international travel history has also tested positive, one sample was collected to prior surgery two has tested positive while contact tracing of 35 persons was in progress.
