Mangalore: ‘Art with Asare’, a special programme of music and dance for special children of Asare, a joint venture of Archana Trust and MAHE, was held here recently by Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Sciences (GCPAS), MAHE.
The students of GCPAS engaged the students of Asare with group songs, group dance and games. Fun and frolic marked the occasion, making it a memorable one. The MA final year students – Judy, Mariam, Shravya, Ramya, Srikrishna and Tryphene organized the programme and all other students participated. Moved by the Asare work educational psychologist, Prof. T.K. Hiregange, who was present there, later donated a cheque of Rs.1 lakh to Asare.
MAHE, General Services Director Col. Prakash Chandra, Asare President K.S. Jai Vittal, GCPAS Head Prof. Varadesh Hiregange appreciated the effort put in by the GCPAS students to lovingly engage the Asare special children and learn a lesson on meaningful action.
