Manama,Bahrain :The 2nd Indian Club Rapid Chess tournament that was held on February 17 ended up being a huge success. The event that was conducted at the Indian Club Auditorium saw a participation of 250+ players from 15+ countries in the amateur and fide rated categories.
Dileep S. Nair from India clinched the title in the amateur category and Moroccan player Tissir Muhammed became the champion in the fide rated category.
The prices were distributed by the President of The Bahrain Chess Federation Khalid Barhanudin Al Awadi, General Secretary Al Burshaid Ibrahim, Indian Club General Secretary Satheesh Gopinathan Nair and President K.M.Cherian.
As the event was a huge success, the organisers have committed to conducting one more event this year.
ACA director Arjun Kakkadath, Indore Games Secretary Arun Jose also participated in the function.
