Bengaluru, July 14: India's famous badminton star, 2012 London Olympics bronze medalist Saina Nehwal, has announced her decision to divorce her husband Parupalli Kashyap. Saina shared an emotional post on her Instagram regarding this.

"Life sometimes takes us in different directions. After a lot of thought and consideration, Kashyap Parupalli and I have decided to separate," Saina wrote. Continuing, she said, "We are choosing peace and growth for ourselves and each other. I am grateful for the old memories and wish you all the best for the future. Saina had also recently spoken about her health issues. He had claimed that he had to decide on his badminton future due to arthritis. Kashyap, on the other hand, retired from the professional game in 2024. Since then, he has been involved in coaching. This personal decision has caused a lot of debate in the sports world.
