Having the privilege of learning in Shakthi you must be able to reach the zenith and bring honour and fame to your nation at the global level” said G.R. Jagadeesh, Organising Secretary, Vidya Bharathi, Karnataka on the occasion of Farewell function of Grade 10 students of Shakthi Residential School, Shakthinagar, Mangaluru.

“We hope that the education that you gained here would help you in your future life. This is the age to dream and let all your dreams materialize. Reserve little time of yours for your Alma mater. Visit or keep in touch very often and contribute to the betterment of this institution by organizing a medical camp or by serving as a counselor etc. Circumvent being corrupt” he concluded.

Prathviraj, Academic Co-ordinator said “Fulfilling the dreams of your parents must be your motto at this moment of time. Dakshina Kannada is known for its academic excellence; each one of you must contribute and make us proud. Your juniors will follow your footsteps, so set a benchmark. Consider your teachers words, the subjects and your studies to the fullest. Educational Institutions has goals and expectations are very high from the Management since it is our first batch”.

Quoting Robert Frost Vidya Kamath G, Principal of Shakthi Residential School said, Two roads diverge, and you take the one less travelled by, and that would make all the difference. It is often impossible to see where a life-altering decision will lead. It is normal to wonder what the outcome would have been if the other road, the road not taken, was the road chosen in life, we are often presented with choices. When making a choice, you are required to make a decision”.

“Be human and humane first. Hard work pays and there is no shortcut to success. Work hard for four years to fulfil your dreams about your future. The globe offers a wide choice, be whatever you crave to be but become an asset for the nation. Nation stands first.” said Dr. K.C. Naik, Administrator addressing the students in his Presidential address. 

Initially the outgoing students were welcomed in the traditional form by applying vermillion on their forehead and by lifting aarthi. The choir group of grade 8 sought the blessings of the almighty. Sanchay, Amogh, Sidhanth, Rosmy and Shukla shared their opinions and views about their journey in Shakthi. They also lit the diyas and decorated the floor in the form of sun’s rays. This was followed by culturals by juniors and fun games.

Ramesh K, Chief Advisor , Prakyath Rai, Institute Development Officer and Neema Saxena, Co-ordinator of Shakthi Pre-School, all teaching and non teaching faculty along with grade 9 students were present on this occasion. Bhavya V, Science teacher was the co-ordinator. Ayush L of grade 9 welcomed the gathering. Saloni of grade 9 proposed the vote of thanks. Harshitha and Ayush L compered the show.
