The students of Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Sciences (GCPAS, MAHE) visited many places of historical and artistic significance in Moodbidri and Mangaluru as a part of their Visual Arts case study. They visited Thousand Pillared Basadi, ancient Jain Math and St Aloysius Chapel to study the murals of this region. 

They also interacted with the Jain Pontiff Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Pandithacharayavariya Swamiji. They also later participated in the International Poetry Day organized by INTACH and Art Kanara, Mangaluru. The visit was coordinated by art-researcher DrJanardhan Rao Havanje, Prof Nemiraj Shetty and guided by GCPAS Head Prof Varadesh Hiregange.
