Udupi, Jan 06: The gold plated edition of Bhagavad Gita will be unveiled at Udupi's Sri Krishna Temple on Thursday, January 8. This marks a moment of spiritual and cultural significance.

The gold Bhagavad Gita, which has been prepared by a Sri Krishna devotee from Delhi at a cost of about Rs 2 crore as a culmination of the various programs of the Chaturthi Parya of Puttige Matha of Vishwa Gita Parya, Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Sripadara, will be unveiled to the public at 5 pm in the presence of Sri Krishna.

The 700 verses of the 18 chapters of the Bhagavad Gita have been printed on gold leaf. The golden Bhagavad Gita will be placed in a golden chariot and taken to the presence of Lord Krishna in a procession on the chariot road. It will be unveiled at a ceremony held at the royal palace in the presence of the successor, Sri Sugunendra Theertha Sripada and the younger Sri Sushindra Theertha Sripada.
