Mangalore :Department of Business Administration of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management will be organizing “Sahyadri Whiz Quiz-2019' a quiz competition on Friday ,08th March 2019 in the Sahyadri Campus. This event is for undergraduates to create a fun-filled atmosphere for learning and acquiring general knowledge about current events in business world. The main aim of the event is to motivate students to bring themselves up-to-date with the latest news and other emerging developments in the areas of Business, History, Marketing, HR, Finance, politics, entertainment, literature and Indian Economy. 
The programme is designed in two phases - College round and Sahyadri Campus round. College round of the quiz was conducted during the month of February & March 2019 in selected 50 colleges in the district of Mangalore, Udupi, Kodagu, Karwar, Belgium, Shimoga, Hassan, Chikmagalur and Kasargod. Teams consisting of 3 members from final year graduation are eligible to participate in the college round. Around 9000 students participated in the first round of quiz out of which around 1000 students are selected for Grand Finale of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz scheduled on 8th March 2019 at Sahyadri campus .
The Grand finale of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz will begin with an inauguration programme at 09:30 am ,Iris Kunder Maben ,IT & Horticulturist, a successful women entrepreneur from Mumbai will be the Chief Guest for the programme. Ms Kavya Gatty , Senior Recruitment Officer – Tesco, Bangalore will be the guest of honor who is also an alumni of our college. After the brief inaugural, 2 rounds of preliminary quizzes and final round will be conducted. Ernst & Young Associates LLP , a global audit firm will be the knowledge partner for the event. Mr. Reese Mathews ,Chief Manager Canara Bank , Bendoorwell, Mangalore will be quiz master for Grand finale of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz .In the final round the winners will be awarded with cash prizes Rs. 25,000/-, Rs.15,000/- and Rs.10,000/- for First, Second and Third Prize respectively. Jayaraj B Rai ,Chairman Sri Ramakrishna Credit Co- Op. Society Ltd. will be the chief guest for the valedictory programme. Sri Ramakrishna Credit Co- Op. Society Ltd. Will be sponsoring the prize money . This is going to be the 5th edition of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz.
