Mangalore:- International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is a worldwide organisation yearning to spread God consciousness and peace throughout the whole world. The society’s spiritual principles are based on Srimad Bhagavad Gita AS It Is. Its Founder- Acharya His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada had single handedly started this movement with a humble attempt to fulfill the desire of his spiritual master to spread God Consciousness especially in the western world.

Following in his footsteps ISKCON branch in Arya Samaj Road is organized  Go Puja and Govardhan Puja at CV Nayak Hall, KRR Road, Kadri, Mangalore-02 from 5.00 PM onwards.

The Program was started with Go Puja and feeding the sacred cow.

It is a tradition in Vrindavan & Mathura that a big rice mound or mound of halwa will be made resembling Govardhan Hill and worshipped and the same will be distributed as prasadam to all the devotees after the worship. Following in same lines ISKCON, Mangaluru has planned to make a Govardhan Hill with 100kgs of Cake (100% Pure Veg).

This month also happens to be the “Festival of Lamps”. Every visitor who comes on this day will be given an opportunity to offer a ghee lamp to the Supreme Lord. This is a tradition coming down since centuries in Mathura Vrindavan and we are following the same tradition. This is a very special privilege wherein even a common man can offer arati to the Lord.
