Mangalore: Milagres college, Hampankatta Mangalore organised annual sports day on 6th December 2023. The inaugural ceremony was held at Mangala stadium at 9.00am. Eula Pinto a Well-wisher of Milagres college was the chief guest, Rev Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth presided over the inaugural function. Premnath Ullal, International kabaddi Referee and Dist Rajyothsava Awardee, Rev Fr Udaya Fernandes, Principal Milagres central school, Melywn Vas, PUC Principal, Patsy Vas PTA, President, Rev Fr. Micheal Santhumayor, Campus Director and Principal, Aakash Shetty, Physical director and Shreyan S, Sports Secretary were present on the dais.
10 students represented 10 renowned 10 sports persons of India. 4 students who have represented college at state and national level sport events were the torch bearers for the day. All the students participated in the march past lead by the core committee of the student council and NCC.
Valedictory programme was held at 3.30pm Jacintha Fernandes was the chief guest, runners up place was bagged by II BCom and the overall championship was bagged by I BCom. Individual Achievers were awarded with Cash Prizes.
Overall 602 students and staff were present for annual sports day.
