Mangalore: “BIZINSIGHT 2024”, the annual flagship event of EVOLVE – A Women Entrepreneur Association, Mangalore (Regd. Society) was held on the 9th of February 2024 at Ajanta Business Centre Mangalore to give our members and all entrepreneurs of Mangalore, an opportunity to learn from the best in the industry. It was also an occasion to converge and celebrate the success of EVOLVE as an organization.
The Chief Guest of BIZINSIGHT 2024, K. Ratnaprabha, Retd IAS Officer, former chief secretary of Karnataka, Founder of Ubuntu Consortium Bangalore and mentor of EVOLVE inaugurated the event. She congratulated EVOLVE for its initiatives and encouraged women to thread the path of entrepreneurship with confidence. She added that women need to stop thinking that they are less capable when compared to the men in any field or in any respect and motivated the audience to take risks and initiatives fearlessly.
Gurudatt Shenoy, partner of Mukund MGM Reality and Guest of Honour of the event wished the program great success.
The first speaker was Dr. Sangita Kamath, Founder & Managing Partner of Step Upp Advisors LLP, Pune. She shared her expertise with the audience on the topic “Sales Maven: Entrepreneurs’ Guide to Triumph”. She added that women have an inherent strength, they are resilient and can adapt easily. However, when it comes to legal, financial and digital wisdom, women need to master them to ensure they sustain and grow in their business journeys. She mentioned that the drive to survive and your commitment to work is very important along with mastering your product. She emphasized that data driven decision making is the key to a successful business.
The Second speaker was Shri V. Balaji Bhat, strategy advisor, mentor and investor from Goa who took the audience on very exciting journey called Entrepreneurship. He motivated the audience to take the entrepreneurial plunge and gave a different perspective on the way businesses should be run.While addressing the gathering, he mentioned that every business must grow- sustain-grow. Consistency in any business and its growth is the key. He encouraged the audience by adding that opportunities are equal for all. It is the capability that decides success. He highlighted the need to continuously plan, execute, report and review our businesses activities.
Nandita Rao, Hon. Secretary of EVOLVE led the audience in prayer. Mrs. Vathika Pai, President of EVOLVE welcomed the gathering, briefed the participants and guests on the functioning of EVOLVE and purpose of BIZINSIGHT 2024. Raksha Bhat, Vice President of EVOLVE proposed the vote of thanks. Sapna Shenoy, Core committee member of EVOLVE compered the event. Amrutha Nayak, Joint Secretary, Mariam Mohiudeen, Hon. Treasurer, were present on the occasion along with the core committee and members of EVOLVE.
The workshop was attended by 70 entrepreneurs, members of KCCI, YI, KIA, DSIA, Heads of Institutions, principals, professors, and students from various colleges.
EVOLVE – A Women Entrepreneur Association, Mangalore is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 and was formed with the aim to educate, encourage and equip women entrepreneurs coming from all spheres of businesses. EVOLVE takes pride in being a liberal space, that promotes coexistence of multifaceted entrepreneurship with focus on ‘growing together’. It conducts monthly meets which are structured to discuss the requirements of the association and to educate its members on various dimensions of business development by engaging expert resource persons.
EVOLVE has established partnerships with educational institutions and are affiliated to trade bodies like KCCI Mangalore, UBUNTU Consortium and FKCCI Women Entrepreneurs Committee, Bangalore to facilitate knowledge exchange and joint programs.
