Mangalore: CAN-Sandyotsava-2023 an inter-college competition organized by Canara Evening College for the PUC students. The fest was inaugurated by Basti Purushottam Shenoy, Coordinator of Canara Vikas Group of Institutions. Speaking on the occasion he said that competitions and fests make an individual aware of their potentials. Therefore it is necessary to make use of such platforms, participate with a competitive spirit and showcase ones talent. Whoever manages best will win; the rest need not worry about their failure but rather take it as an opportunity to learn and grow as this process is continuous.
Prof. Anila K amath, Principal of the college, giving insights about the fest said since the inception of the college it was for the first time a fest was organized. Such competitions would be a suitable launching pad for students to use their skills and abilities, to test themselves as the best person. Participants have to take it as winning, and at the same time wonderfull earning experience in which willingness to learn becomes important.
CA Vaman Kamath, Correspondent of Canara Evening College, presiding over the function said individuals will be recognized when they display the hidden talents in them. Opportunities as such should be grabbed when it is ones way and find the path of excellence. He added that Canara Evening College provides an opportunity to youngsters who desire to pursue CA, CS and diploma courses and earn while learn.
Sivananda Shenoy, Manager, Canara College, Prof Lata Maheshwari, Principal, Canara PU College,Prof Gopalakrishna Shetty, Dean, Canara PU College were present on the dais. Pallavi, student representative, welcomed the gathering, Zain expressed words of Gratitude and Anushka, student convenor compered the program.
The fest concluded with the valedictory ceremony Chief Guest CA VamanKamath, Presidesnt Basti Purushottam Shenoy, Dr. Premalatha V, Principal,Canara College, Prof Lata Maheshwari, Principal,Canara PU College, Prof. Anila Kamath who were present on the dais gave away the prizes. Students gave their feedback on the fest.
A total of seven teams participated in the fest; events like Turn Coat, Elocution, Best Manager, Face Painting, Wealth out of Waste and Reels Making were conducted. Canara PU College won the Overall Champions Canara Vikas PU College were the Runners up. Can-Sandyotsava 2023, Staff convener Apeksha announced the Winners, Suparna welcomed the gatheringand Rahul prosed the vote of thanks and Shivani, compeered the program.
