Mangalore,Nov 23: Canara Pre-University College is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year. As a part of this celebration various activities have been planned and executed. The yearlong celebration began with the release of Logo commemorating fifty years. A series of webinars by noted personalities was organized for the overall development of the students. Various sports events like Cricket for alumni, Mat throwball for alumnae and Inter College Mat kabaddi for present students were organised. There was overwhelming response during the sports events. Staff members of various sister institutions under CHS Association had the opportunity to interact and spend time together during the sister institution Throwball (for Women) and Volleyball (for Men) matches.
On 25th and 26th of November 2022 a Mega event is planned for the students of various schools and P.U. Colleges. Footprints 2022, State level inter school Fest has received commendable response. Enquiry from various institutions outside the district has motivated the organisers and we are enthusiastic about their participation. Above thousand students are expected to participate in 27 odd events on these two days.
Golden Jubilee celebration will be held on 27th November 2022. Dr. M Venkatraya Prabhu MD and Pro Vice Chancellor of Mahe will be the chief guest, Latha Prabhu will give away the prizes and Dr. K Narendra Kamath MD will propose the toast for the day. Hundreds of Alumni are expected to participate on the day. Felicitation of retired Principals, Staff, Rank holders and Sports achievers (National Level) is planned for the occasion.
The college day will be celebrated on 28th November 2022 as an Annual event.
