Mangalore : ICYM Fajir Unit paid a visit to De Mercide Ashram, Panir .The children over there were very much excited to receive the members gathered. There was a broad smile on the faces of the children and they were very happy to engage themselves with the members gathered there.
The head of the Ashram along with the children welcomed the youth of Fajir Unit. ICYM members commenced the programme with a prayer. The children were then entertained with action songs and various games conducted by the youth.
All the children participated actively in the activities and they looked so joyful and excited. On that occasion Rev. Fr Sunil Veigas, Parish Priest and the Director of ICYM Fajir Unit along with the ICYM members handed over the daily use things worth Rs.10,000 to the head of the Ashram and also motivated and encouraged the children. The members distributed various gifts to the children and also snacks and chocolates to the kids. Refreshments were arranged by the youth for all the people gathered. All of them enjoyed a lot with the children. The youth then shared their happiness of interacting with the children. All the children and the staff thanked the youth of Fajir for spending their valuable time with them. The programme got concluded with a prayer conducted by Br. Kevin Lawrence D'Souza. Gifts were distributed to all the children. All the children expressed their happiness and gratitude towards the unit.
