Mangalore: Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students ,the Investiture ceremony of Shakthi Residential School was held with great enthusiasm and dignity in the school premises.

The ceremony was presided over by the administrator Dr. K C Naik. The chief guest of the programme was DR Y Bharath Shetty MLA North constituency, Mangaluru

The School Band students accompanied the dignitaries and the leaders to stage with due respect.

The ceremony commenced with lighting the lamp followed by prayer . The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by honorable Chief guest and other dignitaries.  School Head boy Master Sumith Y and Head girl  Sakshi Hubbali delivered their acceptance speech. The Active members of different houses such as Agni House, Jal House, Vaayu house and Prithvi  House were also the part of the ceremony. 

A Motivational song was sung to inspire the young leaders. Smisha gave an address on the significance of the day.

The student council took the pledge to uphold the school motto in high esteem. Dr Y Bharath Shetty congratulated the leaders and addressed them to be impartial and honest in leadership, unity, discipline and morality . He also motivated them to embrace their responsibilities with utmost compassion and empathy towards everyone. He guided the young leaders to instill the spirit of ‘Service towards soceity Before Self service’. Advised the students to dream big and chase their dreams. 

Dr K C Naik administrator appreciated them and advised them to be role models and work for the benefits of the students and country.  Ramesh K, Chief advisor Shakathi Education trust welcomed the gathering. Venkatesha Murthy H Principal Shakthi PU College was present on the occasion.

The ceremony continued with the felicitation of the chief guest.

Babitha Suraj Principal Shakthi Residential School congratulated the members of Student Council and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. She also extended a supporting hand to the student council for the smooth running of the school. She thanked everyone for their support in making this event a success.

All school staff and students witnessed the programme with joy and excitement.
