Mangalore: On the sixth day of the novena, celebrating the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, the faithful gathered to reflect on the theme: "When we earnestly pray and meditate, our life will be transformed."

The evening began with a profound adoration led by Rev. Fr Ashwin Cardoza   at 5:30 p.m.

The  Solemn mass that followed was celebrated by Rev. Fr  Ashwin  Cardoza ,Director , ICYM- Mangalore Diocese  as the main celebrant, with  Rev. Fr  William D'Souza, _Asst. Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr  Melwin Pinto , MSIJ  as concelebrants.

During his homily, Rev. Fr Ashwin highlighted the significance of the Transfiguration, drawing the devotee’s attention to three key points:

1. The High Mountain: Rev. Fr Ashwin spoke about the importance of climbing the mountain, symbolizing the need for patience and persistent prayer in our spiritual journey. He reminded everyone that with patience, we can achieve anything.

2. A Place of Meditation: He encouraged the faithful to find a space where they can meditate and feel the presence of God. This is where one can have an intimate dialogue with God, deepening their connection with the divine.

3. Coming Down from the Mountain: Rev. Fr Ashwin reflected on the experience of being with Jesus and feeling His love. He explained that after such an experience, we are filled with strength and the presence of God in our lives. This transformation empowers us to live our lives differently, carrying the experience of God's love into our daily routines.

The choir of the service was from  Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail. Special prayers were offered for the youth and children invoking blessings for their growth and well-being.
