Mangaluru: We can never please everyone. So our strategy needs to change, not the goal, said Mangalore University Chancellor Prof. P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya opined.

Speaking at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mangalore University and the Indian Red Cross Society held at the Syndicate Hall of Mangalore University on Monday, he said that we should not just give speeches but be the ones who inspire others. Youth Red Cross is working as the best medium to reach people and engage in selfless service, he said.

"The Syndicate of the University has agreed to give 10 lakhs to the ``Red Cross Bhawan'' being constructed near the DC office. Let this building create a motivating atmosphere for service. The building will also help in organizing the programs of Mangalore University. Youth Red Cross has increased the dignity of Mangalore University," he said.

Honorary Secretary of Indian Red Cross Kusumadhara BK and Mangalore University Registrar Dr. Kishore Kumar C K signed the MoU. While the Registrar welcomed everyone, Red Cross District Chairman CA Shantharama Shetty extended vote of thanks. Retired ADC Prabhakar Sharma, Mangalore University Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. PL Dharma, Finance Officer. Dr. Sangappa Y, Dean of Arts Dept Prof. Jayaraj Amin, Dean of Science and Technology stream Prof.  M. Jayashankar, Youth Red Cross Nodal Officer Dr. Ganapati Gowda etc. were present.
