Mangaluru: Swami Vivekananda is a source of inspiration and it is worth reminiscing his contributions. His ideas and philosophies were highly popular among the youth, and still remain relevant. To acknowledge and celebrate his teachings, his birth anniversary is celebrated every year as National Youth Day. This day is celebrated not only to honour Swami Vivekananda but also to encourage the youth to work hard and contribute to the overall development of this country, said Karunakara Balkur, HOD, Dept of Kannada, Expert PU College, Mangaluru as the key speaker on this occasion.

Swami Vivekananda  always inspired the youth through his teachings and ideology to have a confident attitude added Karunakar and quoted Napoleon’s strategy of self confidence, effort and success. He concluded by saying that nothing is impossible.

“Never say no, never say I cannot ,for you are infinite. All the power is within you, you can do anything” was the gist of our Academic Co-ordinator Prathviraj’s advice. He motivated the students to strengthen their mindset to face the upcoming exams and focus on achieving their goals. Through Yoga, Education ,by giving respect to the elders and developing Patriotism he instructed the students to become an asset for the Nation. Swami Vivekananda’s contributions serves as an inspiration for youths to recognize their potential and work hard he concluded.

Dr. K.C.Naik, Administrator was the Chief Guest. Institute Development Officer Prakyath Rai, Vidya Kamath G, Principal Shakthi Residential School and Neema Saxena, Co-ordinator of Shakthi Pre-School along with all teaching and Non teaching staff and students were present and offered floral tribute to the great reformer, the nation had ever seen. Sharanappa, Kannada teacher compered the event.
