Dr. Gillaine Vail Pinto
Mangaluru, July 28: Dr. Gillaine Vail Pinto has been awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree by Nitte Deemed to be University for her research thesis titled "Exploring micro RNA's as Novel Biomarkers for Leptospirosis." She completed her doctoral studies under the guidance of Dr. Krishna Kumar B., Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Microbial Genomics at the Centre for Science Education and Research, Nitte Deemed to be University.
Dr. Gillaine Pinto, a resident of Kulasekhara in Mangaluru, is the daughter of Ronald J. Pinto and Noreen Pinto, and the sister of Rayner Gevyn Pinto.
