Mangalore, Feb 08: Sandesha foundation of Art and culture announces its Sandesha award for the year 2021 and 2022. The award ceremony will be held on Tuesday 22nd February 2022 at 5.30pm at Sandhesha Nanthoor Mangalore.

Trustee of Sandesha Doundation Roy Castelino in his press meet said "The Sandesha Awards, which are in its 31st year, appreciate and recognize outstanding and value – based contributions made by various personalities through Literature, Journalism, Arts, Education, Music, Media and Social Service. The Special Recognition Award honours meritorious service to the needy of our society."

" The Award fucntion will be graced by dignitaries Bishop of Bellari Henry Dsouza, Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University Dr. Subramanya Yadapadittaya, Mangalore Commissioner of Police Shashi Kumar N, other guests will be Mangalore bishop Peter Paul Saldanha, Udupi Bishop Jerald Issac Lobo, Dr. Valerian Rodrigues, Roy Castelino and Fr. Ivan Pinto."


The awardees for the year 2021 and 2022 will be Rahmath Tarikeri, Melwyn Rodrigues, B.K Gangadhar Kirodian for Sandesha Literature Award. Dr. T.C. Poornima Sandesha Media award, Alwyn Noronha Sandesha Konkani Music Award, Kasargod Chinna for Sandesha Art Award, Dr. P.K. Rajshekar Sandesha Education Award, C. Raghunathan for Sandesha special award.

The awardees for the year 2020 and 2021 will be Baraguru Ramachandrappa, Amar Konkani, Dr. Sunita M. Shetty for Sandesha Literature Award, Nagesha Heggede Sandesha Media award, Meena Remeimbus Sandesha Konkani Music Award, Adolphus Cutinha for Sandesha Art Award, Laxshman Saab Chauri Sandesha Education Award and Samarthanam Trust for Sandesha special award.

Fr Francis Assisi Almeida, director, Sandesha Foundation and manager Simon D’Souza were present.
