Mangalore: St. Joseph's Church, Jeppu on the occasion of the feast of its patron, St. Joseph, staged an apt play for the Lenten season - 'Pilathachizo'dthi' (Trial of Pilate) to a housefull audience on March 20th at Church grounds, in Jeppu.

Written by Fr. Rony Serao, Rector, Jeppu Seminary and Directed by Clita Noronha, Jeppu, the drama, revolved around the consequences faced by Pontius Pilate after his order to crucify Jesus. 

A short stage programme was held prior to the play. Fr. Maxim Dsouza, the Parish Priest, appreciated the dedication of the team and thanked the parishioners and donors for their whole hearted support. 

Four prominent persons who made their outstanding contribution towards Konkani Literature, Culture and, Social service, namely, Konkan Maina Meena Rebimbus, Shri Edwin Netto, Rev. Fr Ronald Serrao and Sr Aileen Mathias were felicitated by St. Joseph Church Jeppu.

The classic and historical drama followed by the stage programme gave the audience an enthralling experience.

Lawrence Baptist, Alwyn Miranda, Roshan Dsouza,  Robin Vas, Roy Sequeira, Prakash Fronteiro, Nelvita Noronha, Nishmitha Dsouza, Lavron Lobo, Maclin Fernandes, ArwinImmatty acted in the drama.

Marita Dsouza and Gretta Carvalho extended their support backstage. The stage was set up by Nevil Noronha. AjithImmatty provided sounds and Christopher Ninasam was in-charge of Lights.
