Tirumala, July 24: A new Srivani Darshan ticket centre has been opened in Tirupati for the darshan of Thimappa. The new facility has been launched with an aim to streamline the process of issuing tickets to devotees.
The new facility, located opposite the Tirumala Annamayya Bhavan, was inaugurated by TTD President B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao.
The centre will address the long-standing complaints of devotees waiting from 5:00 am to get Srivani darshan tickets. Devotees have been facing long queues since early morning, Naidu said at the inauguration ceremony.
With improved infrastructure, the new counters, built at a cost of Rs. 60 lakh, will make ticketing faster and easier, he said.
TTD's flagship initiative, the Srivani Trust, allows devotees to contribute towards temple projects in exchange for special entry darshan.
The high demand for these tickets has largely led to significant delays, which the new centre is expected to reduce with its effective establishment. Naidu inaugurated the renovated sub-inquiry offices in the high-level cottages and Annaprasadam complex areas.
These modernised facilities are aimed at improving support to devotees with better information and assistance services. Naidu also reviewed the setups to ensure that the needs of pilgrims are met.
