Udupi: Krishna Math, which has been banned for pilgrims due to Corona, will be allowed with a restriction from September 28, said Govinda Raj, manager of the Paryaya Admar Math.

Addressing to media persons during the press meet at Sri Krishna Math on Saturday, September 19, Govind Raj said that the entry of devotees into the Krishna Math has been restricted from March 22 as per the guidelines issued by the Central and State Government due to Corona. Subsequently the government allowed only darshan in the mujarai temples. In the Sri Krishna Math, the Krishna darshan had to be done through the nine Kindis, the face of the devotees on Kindi is easily touchable. For all these reasons, Sri Krishna Math has taken care of the health of the people and restricted the entry of devotees to Sri Krishna Math.

At present, the number of patients in Udupi hospitals is high. Patients appear to have no ventilators. But as per the guidance of Sri Sri Vishwapriya Tirtha Sripada, the Paryaya Admar Math Sri Sri Ishapriya Tirtha Sripada decided that the Central Government would loosen the Guidelines after September 21, in order to facilitate local devotees at Sri Krishna Math with certain conditions. In order not to disturb the most pious devotees of the Sri Krshna Math since the 28th, Sri Krishna Math has laid down the following rules:

  • Devotees will be given entry from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm.
  • The local and far places coming devotees visiting the deity of Lord Krishna must enter through the northern gate of the Rajangana.
  • Pilgrims who wish to perform the Lord Krishna darshan must pass through the entrance to the Rajangana, through the gateway to the Garuda deity and walk down the stairs to the main deity.
  • At present, all the devotees are requested to enter through the north gate and cooperate.
  • Local devotees can enter the Sri Krishna Math and receive darshan from the car street on the way up to Madhwa Lake, next to the service office.
  • For security purposes, local devotees who wish to enter the above route (Gate 10) should obtain a compulsory entry pass from the Sri Krishna Math. Or you can travel through the northern gate of the palace (on the way to the pilgrims).
  • Services are available at the Sri Krishna Math, while the Bhagavad-devotees can receive prasadas at the service counter.
  • Currently only the darshan is allowed.
  • Require devotees not to chant mantras, recitations or any other words in the premises of the Sri Krishna Math. The devotees are silent and request not to be talk unnecessary.
  • Devotees are requested not to touch and perform any such activities in the premises of the Sri Krishna Math.
  • Requested devotees that at the time of darshan not to disturb other devotees.
  • Request everyone to wear a mandatory mask.
  • Request everyone to maintain the social gap.
  • Request that the sanitizer be arranged and utilized.
  • Request that the devotees to follow the prescribed rules of security personnel.
  • It is best for elderly citizens, young children, to be sensitive to the body and it is better to pray to God in their respective houses only.
  • The meal prasadam will be launched in the next few days depending on the conditions.
  •  Theertha Prasada will be launched in the near future.

Instead of lighting the ghee and sesame lamps inside the Sri Krishna Math, the request is to get the pure sesame found at the Sri Krishna Math counter. The oil of pure sesame oil provided by devotees is used by the devotees of Sri Krishna main deity.

Despite all these arrangements, it is good for senior citizens and children to pray at home which would be wish of the Paryaya Sri Sri Ishapriya Tirtha Swamiji, he said.

Local devotees can watch the newly constructed arrivals and departures way at the Sri Krishna Math and say, “If one enters these paths, the Garuda headquarters will be presented to the deity”. Govindraj said.

Govidraj, Manager of the Math, Sri Rama Acharya, Yashpal Suvarna, Hightech Pradeep Rao, Dinesh Suvarna, Santhosh Kumar Udyavara, Madhava Upadhyaya and Srinivasa Pejathaya were present during the press meet.
