Mangalore: The department of Hindi of University College Mangaluru and Mangaluru Vishwavidyalaya Hindi Adhyapak Sangha jointly organized a one-day workshop on NEP syllabus for first year degree students, at Shivarama Karantha Sabhabhavana on Friday. 

Mysore University Retired Hindi Professor, who was also the State Hindi BOS chairperson Prof. Prathibha Mudaliar inaugurated the event and highlighted the nature and objectives of the new syllabus. She also stressed on the importance of studying language and literature during undergraduate level. 

Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai presided over the function and she focused on the importance of Hindi as a communication language in India. Hindi PG Department Coordinator and former BOS chairperson Dr. Suma T R presented the introductory remarks, while Hindi HoD (UG) and present BOS Chairperson (UG & PG) Dr. Nagarathna N Rao welcomed the gathering. 

Pompei College Aikala Hindi HoD Dr. Manjunatha SA delivered vote of thanks. University College Hindi Lecturer Dr. Nagarathna Shetty mastered the ceremony. Discussion was held on the new syllabus and questionnaire was finalized.
