Karkala: A grant of ₹5 crore has been sanctioned by the government for the development of the Jodukatte-Borkatte-Renjala road within the Karkala Assembly constituency, informed Karkala MLA V. Sunil Kumar.
This road, connecting Jodukatte in Karkala to Borkatte, Renjala, Irvathur, and Sanur, is a major thoroughfare with thousands of vehicles commuting daily. Due to the numerous curves and turns along this road, the development is intended to ensure smoother travel for the public. The proposal for its development was submitted by the constituency’s MLA and former Karnataka minister V. Sunil Kumar, and following his consistent efforts, a grant of ₹5 crore has now been released for this road development.
According to a press release from the 'Vikas' public service office of the Karkala MLA, the grant has been sanctioned by the government thanks to the MLA’s special initiative and continuous efforts, and the work is expected to begin as soon as possible.
