Alumni assn contributes Rs. 75,000 for mid-day meal scheme

Mangalore: The general body meeting of the University College Mangalore Alumni Association was held at Dr. Shivarama Karantha Sabhabhavana of the college, recently. 

On the occasion, the association President Col. N Sharath Bhandary handed over a cheque of Rs. 75,000 to the Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai for the mid-day meal scheme of the college. Besides, the association has also donated a *Xerox machine worth Rs. 1, 17,000* to the college office. The Principal of the college thanked all for their support for the various development projects, especially the mid-day meal scheme for the eligible students.

Sweeper staff Mrs. Sujatha also received a donation from one of the office bearers of the association for her daughter’s higher education. Vice Presidents R Lohidas, Ramdas Gowda S, Secretary U Mohan Rao, Treasurer D Srinivasa Naik, Secretary JV Shetty, Members ShubhodayaKudlu, Suresh Rao Lad K, Mohandas NK, Vishwanath Kotekar, Vishwanath Kodiyalbail, Harish M, Dharmanna Naik were also present.
