A team of around 60 orthodontists from around Mangalore gathered at Sasihithlu beach to carry out a beach cleaning session in the early hours on 6th May.
The social Initiative was part of the ‘Smile Rally’ A nationwide initiative of the Indian Orthodontic Society to create awareness about the dangers of Online/D2C aligners to public dental health.
The Program was organized by Mangalore Orthodontic Study Group and AB Shetty Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte. Dr. Akhil Shetty and Dr. Kaushik Shetty from ABSMIDS coordinated the event. Dr. Siddarth Shetty, Dr. Ashith M.V. and Dr. Arjun Nayak conveners of Mangalore Orthodontic Study Group were also present. Yathish Baikampady enabled the event.
