Bantwal, Jul. 22: A horrific accident took place between a mini tipper and an Alto car at Kelinja Junction in Veerakamba village near Vitla, killing the car driver and seriously injuring his sister and child.
Anish Anantadi (34) died when an Alto car heading towards Vitla from Kalladka collided with a mini tipper heading towards Vitla.
The injured were rushed to the hospital by locals. However, Anish, who was seriously injured, died late at night at Father Muller Hospital in Mangalore without receiving treatment.
Anish hails from Ashvatadi, Anantadi. He had got married just two months ago and was on his way to Vittal to drop off his family members when the incident occurred.
A case has been registered at Vittal police station and the investigation is ongoing.
