Bengaluru, Sep 03: The Bengaluru police have arrested a foreign national who was buying drugs at a low price and selling them at a high price and have seized MDMA worth Rs 2.30 crore.

The Nigerian national, who had come to India on a tourist visa for three years, had not returned to his country and had been living in a rented house in Bengaluru. The police received information that a foreigner was trying to sell drugs on the side of the road on the way from Santhe Circle to CMR College in Bengaluru village.

Based on specific information, the police registered a case under the MDPS Act and went to the spot. When the foreigner was taken into custody and questioned, he said that he had bought MDMA from an unknown person.

The police arrested him, checked the bag and seized Rs 3,000 in cash, 2 kg 36 grams of MDMA, 1 two-wheeler, and a weighing machine, the total value of which is estimated to be Rs 2.30 crore. The investigation is in progress. Inspector Shabarish and his team of staff have succeeded in cracking the case.

Two foreign women illegally residing in the city..

The CCB women's police have taken action against the house owners who had rented out their houses to foreign nationals in violation of the house owner's visa rules.

The officers and staff of the CCB Women's Protection Unit received information that two foreign nationals had come to India under different visas and were residing in the city illegally.

Based on this information, the police, who raided the place where the two foreign women were residing illegally, interrogated the two, and it was found that the house owners had not submitted the C Form and other documents related to the foreign nationals to the local police station.

A case has been registered against the house owners at Parappana Agrahara police station under the Foreigners Act. The two foreign nationals have been handed over to the station house officer for further legal action. The house owners are absconding and efforts are on to trace them and the investigation is in progress.
