Bengaluru: Om's 'Don' Harish Roy is no more; 'KGF Chacha' succumbs to cancer !

Bengaluru: From the role of Don Roy in the 'Om' movie to the role of Chacha in 'KGF', Harish Roy shone in various roles in Kannada cinema. Harish Roy had built his own image as a supporting character, a villain, etc. Such a popular actor left this world on Thursday (Nov. 6) at Kidwai Hospital.

Unsuccessful treatment

Harish Roy, who was suffering from thyroid cancer for some years, has died after failing to fight it. Harish Roy was undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer. He was also looking forward to financial help for it. Many people including Shivanna and Dhruva Sarja had provided financial help. He needed 17 expensive injections. For that, he needed more than 70 lakh rupees. The cost of one injection is Rs 3.50 lakh. It was said.

Since his body was not cooperating with the injection, he had difficulty breathing and was suffering from exhaustion and was being treated in the ICU. But the treatment was not effective, Harish Roy died today (Nov. 6) in the hospital itself. 55-year-old Harish Roy is survived by his wife and two sons. Fans, friends and close friends from the film industry have expressed condolences on Harish's death.

 An artist who acted in Kannada and Tamil

Harish, who became famous for playing the role of Don Roy in the Shivarajkumar & Upendra combination movie 'Om', got a lot of opportunities later. He acted in Kannada as well as Tamil. In Kannada, he had acted in many movies including Underworld, Raj Bahadur, Sanju Weds Geetha, Swayamvara, Bhoogata, Nanna Odho Hoove, Nalla, Jodi Hakki, Taayavva, Chakravarthi, Kashi, Taayavva.

Harish Roy played the role of Chacha in the popular 'KGF' movies 'KGF: Chapter 1' and 'KGF: Chapter 2', which came in the combination of Yash and Prashanth Neel. This role marked the beginning of Harish's second innings in the film industry. After many years, he saw great success in Sandalwood. Harish, who was suffering from cancer at a time when he was getting more opportunities, has now breathed his last. Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has condoled the death of Harish Roy.
