Karwar, August 02: Another artist of Kannada television has now committed suicide. Chandrashekhar Siddhi, a forest hero from Uttara Kannada district who made the people of the state laugh through the Comedy Khiladigalu program aired on Zee Kannada channel, has committed suicide. It is learnt that the man who told his son yesterday that he will not come, son, has committed suicide in the forest.
An incident of suicide by hanging himself in the forest near Kattige village in Yellapur taluk has come to light. The deceased artist was a resident of Chimanalli in Vajralli village in Yellapur taluk.
Chandrashekhar Siddhi, a talented artist, was returning to his hometown after his performance and living. He had received drama training from Ninasam and acted in some serials. However, despite appearing in comedy reality shows and winning people's hearts, he did not find financial stability in his life.
Chandrashekhar had been mentally troubled since January this year. It is said that he had been working as a wage earner for some time and supporting his family. There were also arguments with his wife, and he had even undergone psychological therapy once. It is said that he was better for a few months, but then he was again in mental pain.
Farewell speech with the child:
Chandrashekhar Siddhi had told his 3-year-old son, 'I will not come again', and had gone to the hill with a hardened mind. After this, he surrendered to death in the hill area. Today, his body was found in a forest area.
A case has been registered at Yellapur police station in connection with the incident, and the police are continuing the investigation. This news has come as a huge shock to local artists, playwrights and TV viewers.
