Chennai, April 11: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has returned as the captain of Chennai Super Kings. After a disastrous campaign for CSK in the current IPL, Dhoni will lead the team for the rest of IPL 2025. CSK captain Ruturaj Gaekwad will be out of the IPL due to an elbow injury
CSK head coach Stephen Fleming confirmed to the media that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will lead the team for the rest of the tournament.
Dhoni, who led CSK to five IPL titles, will make his return as captain with the match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai on Friday. Chennai Super Kings are ranked ninth in the 10-team IPL 2025 table, having lost five matches in IPL 2025, while CSK have lost four matches.
