CHILDREN RAIL WAS STARTED AT KADRI PARK- By Raymond Dcunha
Mangalore:It was started but not operated from long days. Children and their parents used to grin seeing the rails. The old joke of local language used to remind us in TULU language “ Rail Budini”.
Yesterday when I visited Kadri park I was surprised to hear ‘Chuku ,Puku Chuku Puku “ sound with peoples sound of joy with children on board of rail.
That was a beautiful scene with shini ng lights flashing on top of the train and moving on approximately 1.25 kmts round the Kadri Park one round with a charge of 10 Rupees for children and 20 rupees for adult .
The train for a model of reality to children crosses on Tunnel,one bridge,
most of the place forest like environment with plain place , little slope and a climb up 
road where it is felt the acceleration ,brakes .
Around 7minutes will be the ride and presently run by “Mahila mathu Makkala Abhivridhi Illake” Bhasker who is the driver of this train presently jolly man and from 2months operating the train with caution. The train passes the mai
n gate and as we know our people where children are careful but not the elders . Elders cross recklessly and that I saw in my eyes as driver blown horn ,still they were crossing .
