Bangalore: Coronavirus is on the rise in the state. More than 4,000 cases were detected again on Sunday, with the total number crossing 60,000. On Sunday, 4120 new infections were discovered in the state, with 91 Corona deaths reported. As per usual, the number of cases has crossed 2,000, which has caused fear in the capital.

So far, 63,772 positive cases have been detected in the state. Of these, 1331 died from corona virus with a mortality rate of 2.8%. Currently, 23,065 people have been discharged from the hospital with a cure rate of 36.1%. The recovery of the 1290 people from Corona on Sunday is of little comfort to the people of the state.

The infection is still raging in the capital city of Bangalore. There were 2156 positive cases in Silicon City on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 24,316. Corona death toll in Bengaluru on Sunday was low, with 36 fatal cases. With this the total death toll has risen to 667.

253 people have been discharged from hospital in Bengaluru on Sunday. The capital recovery rate is 36.1 per cent, while the death rate is 2.8 per cent. There are 39,370 active cases in the state, but the government has fallen asleep due to lack of infection control despite the lockdown.

Even on Saturday, there were 4537 cases in the state. While 285 positive cases were found in Dakshina Kannada, 171 in Vijayapura, 135 in Chikkaballapur, 134 in Udupi, 126 in Dharwad, 110 in Mysore and 104 in Shimoga. The infection is widespread in the rest of the district.
