Higher education minister and DCM Dr Ashwath Narayan said that "the first and second year diploma, degree and third engineering students of the Karnataka will be promoted this time."
He told the media in Bangalore today that based on internal marks, first-year and second year diploma, Degree and third year engineering students in the Karnataka will be promoted to the preceding year. but the final year students will be having exams by the end of the September and adding to this he said that how these exams should be conducted is left to the respective VVs and can be done offline or online.
Minister of Higher Education, Dr. C.N. Ashwathth Narayan told reporters on Friday. Students studying in the intermediate semester / year are passed on the basis of internal assessment and comprehensive evaluation of previous semester / year marks (50:50). Students who have not scored in previous years (eg first semester students) will be passed through a full internal assessment.
In the meantime, students who want to improve their scores are allowed to write the exams separately in the semester. DCM said there would be an opportunity for carryover of backlog issues.
