Udupi,March 25: Garuda gang member Isak, who was shot while trying to escape from the police, was produced in the Udupi court by the Manipal police on Monday, and the court handed him over to the police custody for 9 days.
Manipal police arrested Issac on March 12 in Hassan, who escaped by punching a public car and bike while escaping from the Nelamangala police in Bangalore. While calling him from there, he assaulted the police in Hiriyadka police station on the way and tried to escape.
The police shot him in the leg. Later he was admitted to a hospital in Manipal for treatment. From there he was shifted to Ajjarakadu district hospital for surgery. Issac , who has now recovered, was produced by the police in court and requested to be handed over to police custody for further investigation. Accordingly, the court ordered the accused to be remanded in police custody till April 1.
It is known that the Manipal police, who have taken Issac into custody, are going to further question him in connection with various cases including kidnapping, drug possession.
