Belgaum,March 25: In many parts of the state, there are cases of missing newborn babies. There have also been incidents of parents abandoning babies in Tippegundi, roads and deserted areas in many places. In the meantime, the police have found a case of murder of a mother child in Ambadagatti village of Kittur taluk and have arrested two accused.

The arrested have been identified as Mahabaleshwar Rudrappa Kamoji (31) and Simran Maulasab Manikabai (22) of Ambadagatti. On March 5, the babys dead body was found in garbage pond in the backyard of a house in Ambadagatti. Kittoor police have succeeded in cracking this case.

Mahabaleshwar of Ambadagatti and Simran were in love with each other for three years.

Simran was pregnant from love relationship with Mahabaleshwar. The family did not know that Simran was pregnant because she was fat. After 9 months, labor pain appeared on March 5. Simran went to the bathroom and gave birth to a baby girl. Priyakara Mahabaleshwar also guided her during the delivery via video call. Also, Simran watched how to give birth on YouTube. District Superintendent of Police Dr. Bhima Shankar Guleda said that after giving birth, the child was wrapped in plastic and dumped in Tippegundi without anyone knowing.

Two accused have been sent to judicial custody in connection with the incident.
