Mumbai: At NX Hall, Bunts Sangha, Mumbai, at 2 PM, the poetry collection “Muttuda... Pani” by Harini M. Shetty from Kapu will be launched by Dr. Sunita M. Shetty. The book will be introduced by Dr. Poornima Shetty.

Harini M. Shetty

Harini is the daughter of the late Radha Shivaram Shetty of Kapukaranadi Bhattasthana, and the wife of the late Mallinath J. Shetty of Devasya Kodethur Guthu. She has actively contributed in many fields while residing in Mumbai. She completed her B.A. degree at M.S.R.S. College, Shirva.

Having left her birthplace for livelihood and come to Mumbai, which became her land of work, she has experienced many ups and downs in life. With her husband's support, she has achieved success in multiple fields. She had a strong interest in theatre from childhood and earned acclaim for her performances in various roles in her hometown.

She has proudly served the Bunts Sangha Mumbai – Kurla Bhandup region Mahila vibhag as secretary for 3years and later as vice president for three years. She has held various positions in multiple organizations and is also actively involved in the social sphere. Currently, she serves as the Literature Convener of the Women’s Wing of Bunts Sangha.

She has been awarded state-level literary awards multiple times.

In recognition of her multifaceted achievements, she has received numerous prestigious awards, including Rashtramatta Vishwavijnana Shri Award, Swarna Siri Award, Toulava Award, Kalatta Bolli Honor, Gaurava Sadhaka Award, Sri Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiah Sadbhavana Award, Karnataka Mukutamani, Karnataka Kalabhushana, Malenada Mate, Vishesha Sadhaka Award, Kavya Shiromani State Award

These accolades stand as testimony to her talent.

She passed the Tulu script exam in first class. She has also proudly shared the TV screen with popular actress Vinaya Prasad in a show aired on TV.

Recently, she played Amba in Amba Shapatha – Bheeshma Vijaya and Chandramati in Satya Harishchandra, staged by the Mahalakshmi Bunt Women’s Yakshagana Group, Mumbai, and gave exceptional performances.

Harini M. Shetty of Manali Art is now serving as the State Director for Maharashtra for the Tuluvare Kala Trust (R). Under her leadership, the event titled "Tuluvare Minadana" and the launch of the poetry collection “Muttuda... Pani” will take place on August 23.
