Kollur, Sep. 12: Music director Ilaiyaraaja has donated diamond crowns and a gold sword worth Rs 8 crore to the Kollur Mookambika temple, the temple's priest K.N. Subrahmanya Adiga shared this on social media.
Ilaiyaraaja reached the temple at 11:30 am today and visited the temple, and he also shared pictures of him offering crowns and swords. Ilaiyaraaja has visited the temple in the past and offered expensive diamonds.
Laddaraaja, a devotee of Kollur Mookambika, often visits the Kollur temple. Now, he has offered a diamond crown and jewels to the Sri Devi of Kollur Sri Mookambika temple and a silver crown and sword to Veerabhadra Swamy. His family members were present on the occasion.
The diamond-studded crown was taken from the Olaga Mantapa to Sridevi in a procession. Devotees and villagers participated in this event.
