The Indian Society of Training and Development (ISTD), Mangalore/Udupi Chapter installed a new Executive Committee for the term 2024-26. The new Committee led by Brian Fernandes,  was installed at a ceremony following its Annual General Meet at the Ocean Pearl Inn, Bejai, Kapikad on July 6, 2024. The event saw a substantial turnout from the membership, underscoring the chapter's vibrant and engaged community.

The President of the Chapter, during the chapter's term of 2022-24, Nivedita Mirajkar, conducted the installation of the incoming team in an innovative and meaningful manner. It was a unique experience for members and office bearers alike!

The new Executive Committee comprises Brian Fernandes as Chairman, Preetham Kamath as Vice-Chairperson, Shivani Baliga as Secretary, Peter Anthony Pinto as Treasurer, with Dr Suraj Noronha and Sanjay Shetty as National Council Members; Managing Committee members include Bharathi Shevgoor, Dr Deepa Kotari, Dr Preethi Dsouza, Peter Anthony Pinto, and Prof. Dr Zita Lobo. The new committee was elected unanimously. CA MN Pai joins the committee as the immediate past Chairman.

The outgoing Chairman of the Mangalore/Udupi Chapter CA MN Pai spoke on the initiatives taken during his term. He highlighted the fact that Monthly meets and outbound train the trainer programs were held. He said the Chapter was now on a sure footing and  looked forward to the incoming team building upon this foundation,

The outgoing committee had CA M N Pai as Chairperson, Brian Fernandes as Vice-Chairperson, Malini Hebbar as secretary, Shivani Baliga as Treasurer, Sanjay Deshpande and Shalini Prabhu as National Council Members; Managing Committee members include Preetham Kamath,  Flossy Clara D’Souza, Peter Anthony Pinto, and Subhash Bangera.

After his installation, the incoming Chairman Brian Fernandes said, “as a society, we strive to foster Community and Collaboration, commit ourselves to Continuous Learning and Improvement, and ultimately provide for a Positive Impact on Society. Great work has been done in the past two years under the leadership of CA MN Pai. I was a part of the team as were three others on this team. Started by Shri Chadaga in 2018, it is now a toddler on a national stage.  Therefore, this team’s job is to foster a meaningful, fulfilling infancy that brings joy to us and society – from one society to another. The team we have for the next two years is a composite mix of talent, resourcefulness, and resilience. All qualities that will foster continuous Learning in ourselves and others, Community and Collaboration, and ultimately grow in influence and impact – and that’s our goal”.

Ahead of the installation, The Society’s Annual General Body Meeting was conducted with the Chairman, CA MN Pai in the chair.

Established in April 1970, ISTD is a national-level professional body and non-profit society registered under the Societies Registration Act, of 1860.
