Online classes in Karnataka:-

The schools and colleges in Karnataka have been closed since March 2020 post-Covid-19 lockdown. The schools across the states were taking online classes. Online classes have been criticized for creating a disparity in society as not everyone have an access to the Internet. Subsequently, the state government imposed a ban on online classes for students from LKG to fifth standard. The Karnataka High Court stay has been imposed on the ban of hearing.

The state is currently running online classes following the High Court's order which does not make the online classes compulsory for students. Also, schools cannot charge extra fees for online classes.
