Kannur, March 10: An 18-year-old woman from Kannur, Kerala, tragically lost her life after following a weight loss diet plan she found on YouTube.
Srinanda, a resident of Koothuparamba Meruvambai, was an undergraduate student at Palassi Raja NSS College in Mattanur. She had been dieting after watching YouTube videos to lose weight and, in the process, stopped eating properly. As a result, her health deteriorated rapidly over time.
Srinanda was recently admitted to Thalassery Hospital due to her worsening condition. As her health continued to decline, she was transferred to the Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode for further treatment. Despite efforts to save her, she was placed on a ventilator, and her condition remained critical.
Dr. Nagesh Prabhu, a doctor from Talakkari, confirmed that Srinanda died due to anorexia nervosa.
