Mangaluru: The ICYM Central Council, Diocese of Mangalore, in association with St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangalore, and in collaboration with the Youth Commission of the Diocese of Mangalore and the Karnataka Regional Youth Commission (KRYC), successfully organized CareerXpo 2025 on November 1 and 2, 2025. The two-day mega event brought together over 3,000 participants from Karnataka and Kerala, along with more than 200 reputed companies from across India, making it one of the region’s largest youth-focused career platforms.

The inaugural programme, held on November 1 at 9:30 AM, began with a prayer song invoking God’s blessings. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Rio D’Souza, Principal of SJEC and Guest of Honour; Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, Director of KRYC and ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Fr. Kenneth Crasta, Assistant Director, SJEC; Vileena Gonsalves, KRYC Coordinator; Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza, President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Maria D’Silva, Secretary, ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Jaison Crasta, Coordinator, Youth Commission Mangalore; and Ruben Saldanha, Student Coordinator, SJEC. Together, they inaugurated CareerXpo 2025 in the presence of students, youth leaders, and company representatives.

Throughout the day, the SJEC campus buzzed with activity as candidates interacted with recruiters, attended interviews, and explored diverse career opportunities. Discussions with industry leaders provided valuable guidance, insights, and pathways for professional growth.

The event concluded on November 2 with a valedictory programme appreciating the overwhelming response from participants and companies. The ceremony was graced by Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, who congratulated ICYM Mangalore for organizing this two-day career-building event. He said, “Youth today are searching for jobs, and ICYM has become a torchbearer by organizing Career Expo 2025, bringing many companies under one roof to make job searching easier.
