Mangalore: An incident of a man being attacked with a sword over a personal matter while he was locking and closing a mobile shop took place at midnight in Nehru Nagar under the Nagar Police Station limits of Bantwal taluk in Dhaka district.
A resident of Nehru Nagar, Taslim, was attacked with a sword and seriously injured and has been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru and is said to be undergoing treatment in the emergency unit.
Taslim, who owns a mobile shop near the Highway Hotel in Nehru Nagar, Panemangalore, is said to have been stabbed with a sword while closing the shop. It is learnt that he was attacked over a money issue. A complaint has been filed with the Bantwal City Police Station that his friend and a resident named Harish had escaped after being stabbed with a sword. The police have now registered a case and are looking for the accused.
Bantwal City Police Station Inspector Ananthapadmanabha and S.I. Ramakrishna visited the scene and are continuing their investigation into the case.
