Mangalore: University Evening College, Mangaluru and Karnataka Rajya Mahavidyalaya Shikshakara Sangha (KRMSS) jointly celebrated “Kargil Vijay Diwas”- “Abhinaya Shodha – 2022”, an Inter Collegiate Skit Competition on the occasion of Azaadi ka Amrith Mahotsav on Tuesday 26th July 2022 at Ravindra Kala Bhavan.

Air Vice Marshal Ramesh Karnik - Veteran Indian Air Force, was the inaugurator of the programme. In his talk he gave a clear picture of the Kargil war and bold Fight & Sacrifice our brave Indian soldiers. He quoted that each one of us should join the armed forces and it should be our first choice to tackle the external threat from our enemies. 

Dr. Jagadeesh B. Co-coordinator of MBA (IB) and MCom remembered our great soldiers. He expressed one must love his country. It is not what our country has given us, but we  have given to our country.

Dr. Subhashini Srivatsa – Principal of University Evening College, Mangalore in her presidential remarks expressed that, if we do not remember our soldiers and history we will not be able to frame our history. One should remember his mother India, who has nourished us.

The programme was composed by Dr. Mohan K N - lecturer of History, prayer was invoked by Yashwitha – Student of II BA, Venkatesha Nayak – KRMSS Secretary welcomed the guests and gathering. Vote of thanks was rendered by Dr Rathi - Nodal officer of Azaadi ka Amrith mahotsav.

In the skit competition under UG level, Ist place was bagged by Carmel degree College, Modankaup and the 2nd place by GFGC, Carstreet. Under PU level Ist place was bagged by Sri SDPT PU College, Kateel and the IInd place is Won by Sri Rama PU College, Kalladka.
