A new post office will be inaugurated in Kuppepadavu, Mangalore taluk, on February 8, and the new pin code for the area will be 574162, as informed by officials of the Mangalore Postal Circle.
In a press release, the postal department stated, "Previously, the areas of Kuppepadavu, Irvailu, and Kolavuru were under the jurisdiction of the Ganjimath post office, and the pin code for these areas was 574144. The new sub-post office in Kuppepadavu will begin operations on February 8."
"From now on, all areas that fall under the Irvailu and Kolavuru branch post offices, as well as Kuppepadavu, will have the new pin code 574162. The distribution of mail for these areas will now be handled by the Kuppepadavu sub-post office," postal authorities said.
All banks, government offices, cooperative societies, private offices, and companies operating within the jurisdictions of the Irvailu and Kolavuru branch post offices should update their records to reflect the new pin code 574162 for their correspondence. The public is also advised to take note of this change, according to the Mangalore Postal Circle officials.
