Mangalore: Sreejesh P. C., Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator in the Department of Biotechnology at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), has been awarded Ph.D. Degree from Mangalore University. His pioneering doctoral research, titled "Isolation and Characterization of Bacteria from Mice Ovaries and Effects of its Bioactives on Ovarian Cancer Cell Lines", sheds light on the crucial role of the organ-specific microbiome in influencing cancer biology and highlights its potential for developing novel anti-cancer therapies.

The study was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr Asha Abraham, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology, School of Life Sciences, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University). This milestone achievement adds to the growing recognition of the department's contributions to cutting-edge biomedical research.
