Mangaluru: The inauguration of the 3- day programme which replicates the United Nations Simulations titled ALMUN 3.0 organised by the Departments of Political Science and Psychology, School of Arts and Humanities, of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru on 11th December 2025 in Robert Sequeira Hall. 

Narwade Vinayak, IAS and CEO of Zilla Panchayat was the chief Guest. Rev. Fr Prashanth Madtha, SJ, former principal of St Aloysius College was the Guest of Honour. Rev. Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto, Rector of St Aloysius Institutions and Pro Chancellor of SADU presided over the programme. Dr Rose Veera DSouza, Dean of Arts and Humanities, Dr Shalini Aiyappa and Dr Shakila Hegde, the Staff Coordinators and the Secretary General Vatscin Sai Prasad and the Director General Shravya Promod were on the dais.

Inaugurating the programme, Narvade Vinayak explained about research ethics, research implementation and principles of policy research and policy formulation. He also spoke about the renewable energy sector through solar energy. He inspired the students to be more and more concerned about the policy decisions which affect the society at large.

Rev. Fr. Prashant Madta in his speech explained the universal perspective that can be developed by events like ALMUN and ask the students to develop clarity about the social evils.

Rev. Fr. Melwin Joseph Pinto said that the students can understand the global perspectives through such programmes.

Iola DMello compered the program. Dr Rose Veera DSouza welcomed the gathering. Shravya Pramod proposed the vote of thanks.
