Mangaluru: St. Rita English Medium School celebrated Vana Mahotsav with great enthusiasm on 9th July 2025 in the school campus.
The program was inaugurated with the symbolic planting of a sapling by the Chief Guest, Mable Pinto, a retired teacher of the school, Rev. Fr. Eric Crasta, the Joint Secretary and Matilda Dcosta the Headmistress.
The event included a variety of cultural activities such as a tree-themed play, song and a skit highlighting the importance of Vana Mahotsav and environmental protection.
All the teachers along with class representatives actively participated in planting saplings around the campus, spreading the message of environmental responsibility.
The Master of Ceremony for the program was Rhea of class 6th, welcome address was delivered by Zikra of class 4th, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Leanne of class 4th.
The celebration was a success and instilled a sense of environmental awareness and responsibility among the students.
